OUR PROJECTS

Industrial

Vector’s expertise and renowned reputation in mission-critical facilities have led to numerous opportunities to assist clients in the industrial and manufacturing sectors. Among our largest clients are global industry leaders like Nestle Purina PetCare and Becton Dickinson.

Manufacturing facilities often face demanding project schedules due to limited plant downtime for equipment installation and upgrades. We have successfully helped our clients meet these demanding schedules on several occasions, even accommodating around-the-clock commissioning shifts when necessary.

Vector has forged a strong partnership with Nestle Purina since our inception, assisting in commissioning proprietary and vendor-supplied process and packaging equipment for their pet food plants in multiple locations across the United States. Nestle initially lacked a standardized commissioning process, entrusting Vector to develop customized company-wide standards. These included contractor vendor factory acceptance tests, contractor installation checklists, and system functional performance tests. Given the critical importance of production and equipment uptime in industrial settings, Vector leveraged its extensive experience in mission-critical and data center operations to ensure Nestle’s equipment was properly installed, programmed, and operating per Nestle’s design criteria.

Becton Dickenson

COLUMBUS, NE

U.S. Becton Dickinson and Company, known as BD, is a Fortune 500 medical technology firm specializing in manufacturing and selling medical devices and instrument systems. Over the years, Vector has built BD’s trust by enhancing their turnover and commissioning processes for all new and retrofitted HVAC and electrical systems supporting their manufacturing operations.

What began as a retro-commissioning study to identify issues with their existing HVAC and DDC control systems in the East Plant has evolved into several new HVAC and electrical expansion projects across their facilities. These projects include constructing a new AQI building to filter process exhaust air before releasing it into the atmosphere, commissioning and optimizing their central utilities plant (chillers, steam boilers, air compressors), and upgrading HVAC systems for new clean rooms and manufacturing areas.
